This was my view from my hotel window this morning. Isn’t it breathtaking?
Sights like these remind me how grateful and blessed I am to have the opportunity to travel, and attend this year’s NSTA conference in Boston. Last year, I attended my first NSTA conference as a New Science Teacher Academy Fellow and it was a life-changing event. It was my use of social media during one of the networking receptions that landed me here this year. Tomorrow afternoon, I’m scheduled to give a brief talk, along with other teacher panelists, about our use of social media in science. It’s very exciting to be working alongside with innovative and creative teachers and speakers, such as Jon Bergmann (@jonbergmann), Paul Andersen (@paulandersen), Brad Graba (@mr_graba), and Christine Royce (@caroyce). Many thanks to our lovely coordinator and moderator, Lauren Jonas (@LaurenE_Jonas) for getting all of us together!
In our session, I’m briefly talking about my personal journey as a new science teacher and how I used social media to create a professional learning network. Below I’m attaching a link to my Haiku deck, and hashtags and links I refer to in my talk.
